    Biography of Mary McFadden

    Mary McFadden was born on October 1, 1938, in New York, USA. She initially studied at the "Lubec" school and then, from 1956, at the Sorbonne. Later, Mary studied fashion at the "Traphagen School of Design" and sociology at Columbia University and the New School for Social Research in New York. Two years after completing her education, Mary McFadden became the director of public relations for the House of Dior. In 1964, she began working as an editor at Vogue magazine. A year later, Mary left the magazine and became a political commentator for the Rand Daily Mail. In 1968, she returned to the fashion world, becoming a contributing editor for "My Fair Lady," "Cape Town," and "Vogue" magazines. Additionally, she became the editor of special projects for the American version of Vogue magazine.
